The Promo Codes feature allows you to offer exclusive discounts to app users directly. When added to a Deal, this feature displays a Get Promo Code button in the app, making it simple for users to copy your promo code and navigate to a member’s offer page.

What the Promo Codes Feature Does

When you add a promo code and a corresponding URL to a Deal, Local Explorers automatically:

• Displays a Get Promo Code button for users
• Opens a popup that allows users to copy your code with one tap
• Redirects users to the link you provide, where they can paste the code and complete their purchase

This creates a seamless way for customers to access and redeem your promotions.

How to Add a Promo Code to a Deal

Follow the steps below to set up a promo code in the Deals section.

1. Log In

Go to business.localexplorers.com and log in with your credentials.

2. Navigate to Content Management

Once logged in, open the Content Management section from the main dashboard.

3. Select Deals

On the left-hand menu, click Deals. This will open your existing deals and the option to create a new one.

4. Add or Edit a Deal

Click Add Deal (or open an existing deal to edit it). On this page, you will find fields for adding promo code details.

Promo Fields Explained

Promo Code

Enter the code users will copy.
Example: DM2511002

Promo Link

Enter the URL where users will paste the promo code and complete their purchase.
Example: http://www.yankeecandle.com

Important: Only use this feature if the provided link includes a place for customers to enter the promo code. If it does not, list your instructions in the Deal description instead of using the Promo Code feature.

What Users See in the App

When a promo code is added:

• A Get Promo Code button appears on the deal
• Tapping it opens a popup displaying your code
• Users can copy the code instantly and tap through to your purchase link

This ensures a user-friendly, streamlined redemption process.

Best Practices

• Double-check that your Promo Link goes directly to a page where the code can be entered
• Provide clear descriptions so users understand the offer
• Keep promo codes up-to-date and remove expired codes
